Carpool from Lekki and Ajah to Victoria Island

The first Ganusii route, with the waitlist open. When rides start, verified professionals will share the drive along the Lekki–Epe Expressway into VI, picked up at named landmarks on the road, never at your gate.

Lekki / Ajah to Victoria Island

via the Lekki–Epe Expressway

The road: Lekki–Epe Expressway into VI

The expressway fills from the far end first. Cars from Sangotedo and Ajah are already crawling by the time Ikota and VGC join, Chevron backs up, and the last squeeze comes around Lekki Phase 1 before Ozumba Mbadiwe Avenue takes you into Victoria Island. A solo ride-hail sits in the same traffic as everyone else and charges you for the whole car.

Ganusii will put 2 or 3 riders in a car that is already making this drive. The driver will be a professional going to VI anyway, not a ride-hail driver, and the pickups will follow the road in the order the car meets them.

Ten pickup points, in road order

These are the Ganusii pickup points for this route, each a landmark drivers already know. Ikota comes before VGC, because that’s the order the expressway meets them heading to VI.

Minutes to Victoria Island are rough peak-hour estimates. Live a few streets off the expressway? Walk to your nearest point and be there 5 minutes early. If none of these works for you, choose Other when you join and say where you’d wait: every request helps decide where the next point goes.

Morning and evening times

Morning pickups are planned from about 5:45 am at Sangotedo to 7:30 am at Lekki Phase 1. Heading home, cars will leave VI between 5:00 and 7:00 pm and drop off in the same road order, the other way round.

You choose the time you usually leave when you join. Rides will only run in the morning and evening, between 5:00 am and 10:00 pm.

Every ride will be confirmed ahead: morning rides the evening before, rides home by 4:30 pm on the day. If someone can’t make it, Simbi, Ganusii’s WhatsApp assistant, will offer the seat to someone else on the route or tell everyone who is riding.

Solo ride-hail, Lekki Phase 1 to VI, weekday morning

Being checked

We’re checking what a solo Bolt or Uber from Lekki Phase 1 to Victoria Island costs on a weekday morning, and will post the range here with the month. Expect more from Ajah and Sangotedo, and more again when surge hits on a wet morning.

Until then, price your own trip in Bolt or Uber at the time you usually leave. That’s the same guide Ganusii will show when you and your driver agree a fare.

How the fare is agreed

There’s no set Ganusii price during the pilot. Today’s solo ride-hail fare for the same trip is the guide. How fares work

  1. Your offer

What you’d pay for a seat, one way.

  2. Your driver’s ask

What they’d accept for a seat, one way.

  3. Agreed fare

Everyone in the car pays the same, directly to the driver after each ride.

Verified people, and HELP on every ride

In an emergency, call 112 or 767 (Lagos emergency) first. Ganusii is not an emergency service. When you can, message HELP so the team knows.

Everyone will show a government-issued ID, take a live photo and confirm a work email before they ride; drivers also share their licence and vehicle details. When rides start, you can message HELP on any ride to report a safety concern or a car or trip issue, and the Ganusii team watches HELP from 5:00 am to 10:00 pm. Trust and safety in full
